Bio
M.E. Parker is a closet antiquarian posing as a technophile, who savors the smell, texture, and weight of books on shelves, all the while enjoying the convenience of the digital world--a writer, a reader, web designer, and a carpenter who imagines a world of wooden computers with leather bound keyboards. His telescope is always aimed into the furthest reaches of space enabling him to view through his lens that which might be there instead of that which he cannot see. He is a fiction writer with a background in physics, and in spite of this, or, in fact, because of this, he maintains an unquenchable appreciation for art in all (many of) its permutations. At one of the myriad intersections of prose and visual arts, he edits the Camera Obscura Journal of Literature & Photography. M.E. Parker's short fiction has recently surfaced or is scheduled to see daylight in numerous print publications and Internet haunts. His story "My Marrakech" recently won the 2010 Midnight Sun fiction contest.
M.E. Parker has also endeavored to couple his love for the Great American road trip with his soft spot for the environment by developing a working (though unfortunately impractical) prototype of a non-electric, zero-emission vehicle.

"A person who publishes a book willfully appears before the populace with his pants down. If it is a good book nothing can hurt him. If it is a bad book nothing can help him."
-Edna St. Vincent Millay
